The scent opens on bright bergamot and mandarin that move into a rose heart, which sits over a warm base of vanilla, patchouli and amber with a woody oud character implied by the name. The dominant impression is citrus up front with a sweet vanilla foundation and a fresh spicy lift in the middle. Our take
I enjoy the sharp citrus opening and the way the rose nudges the middle toward spice before the vanilla and patchouli round everything out. When it performs well the projection and longevity are satisfying, especially in cooler weather, but I have encountered bottles that fade quickly. For the price I expect more consistency. Overall it’s pleasant and versatile day or night, but buyers should sample it first if they need reliable long haul performance.
