Isis is a gourmand vanilla-amber fragrance from Agonist released in 2013 for women and men. It opens on bright citrus and ripe peach with a touch of green mandarin and warm spices such as black pepper and anise, then shifts to a spicy floral heart where heliotrope, ylang-ylang, ginger and nutmeg add powdery and spicy facets. The base centers on caramel, vanilla, benzoin, labdanum, amber and musk, producing a sweet, caramel-vanilla accord anchored by resinous amber. With a 4.08 average from 322 votes, it is generally well regarded for its rich dry down.
Our take
I love Isis for its caramel-vanilla dry down; the opening is brighter and fruitier than the base, but the spicy heart keeps it from becoming one-note. Longevity runs long on me and sillage is mostly moderate to strong. Some will find the peach makes it feel more feminine, which is fair, but I enjoy the warm, sweet amber for cool days and easy daytime wear.
