Silver Ombre opens on pear and lemon, moves into a heart where rose sits with cloves, olibanum and sandalwood, and settles on amber and musk. Alexandre.J released this unisex scent in 2012 and it reads as a warm amber-rose with a woody, powdery cast. The bright fruit top gives a brief lift while the clove and olibanum add resinous warmth and a faint oud-like woodsiness; sandalwood and amber smooth the base into a musky, slightly powdery finish. Our take
I find Silver Ombre interesting for its rose-on-amber character. The pear and lemon top gives a short, fresh opening, then the rose with olibanum, clove and sandalwood creates a soft, powdery amber-rose that sometimes reads faintly oud-like. I like the slightly cool rose and the dry woody base, but it can feel thin for those who want bold projection; longevity is often long enough for a day's wear but varies by skin. Ratings and comments show a split opinion, so this is a bottle to try before committing.

Alexandre.J Silver Ombre has a striking bottle: a tall, narrow silver cylinder with rounded shoulders, ribbed circular bands, and a domed reflective cap.
