The Bottle
Pale ivory makes Ashore feel gentler than many Amouage bottles, although its squat proportions are more blunt than delicate. A shell-like ridged dome cap rises above a gold-coloured collar, while the central emblem keeps the simple front tied to the house. The thick base visibly supports the judgement that this is a heavy bottle and helps it hold its own on a shelf. I’m less convinced by the low, blocky body, but it suits the creamy, seaside impression. The sculpted cap gives the original much of its character.
