Amouage Enclave

The Bottle

Enclave gives Amouage’s familiar bottle a cooler, darker character through its glossy blue-green body and pale wide cap. A gold-coloured collar and small green cap detail connect the two parts, while the central crest keeps the front recognisably from the house. The body is fairly standard, so the cap does most of the expressive work, but the balance feels composed rather than flashy. It’s slightly severe and quietly distinctive, with enough contrast to stand out without relying on bright colour or a crowded arrangement.

Original or Clone

Julien Rasquinet’s authorship gives Enclave a reason to buy as the original: he is the credited perfumer behind a named composition. Its standing is also clear from the fragrance’s amber, aromatic and warm-spicy character, which has prompted four tracked interpretations from three houses. That activity does not prove any copy is inadequate, but it does show that Enclave occupies a recognisable place in the market. We see the original as the more compelling purchase for readers who care about Rasquinet’s work.
