Released by Arabian Oud in 2018 as a unisex oriental-woody floral, the composition pairs a dominant rose accord with warm spicy saffron and a soft, powdery orris note, while the oud gives a smooth, resinous depth rather than raw smokiness. Our take
I like how Tarteel Gold balances rose and oud without the oud feeling aggressive; saffron and cinnamon give a spicy lift while orris adds a powdery edge. On my skin it has strong projection and long longevity, which suits evening and winter wear, but I can see why some find it shorter lived on other skins. The scent can read feminine or more unisex depending on skin chemistry. If you want a polished rose-oud with warm spice and a vanilla base, this is a solid option; if you want a raw, smoky oud, look elsewhere.

Arabian Oud Tarteel Gold makes a strong case for ornament over restraint. Its tall, softened rectangular bottle holds warm amber-brown liquid, while a large pale-gold patterned plaque covers much of the lower front and echoes the broad patterned cap. The central alignment keeps the busy decoration orderly; the result is distinctive, if decidedly elaborate.
Original or Clone
