Our take
I like the leathery, incense-led core and the way the elemi and grapefruit add a resinous lift up front. On cold nights this becomes warm and slightly sweet, which I enjoy. What bothers me is the inconsistency in strength: some wears feel nearly skin-close and soft, while other days it projects more. It never feels revolutionary, but for someone after a safe, grown-up winter leather it hits the mark.

Aramis Black's bottle is a clear rectangular form with softened edges and a broad flat front. A black elongated octagonal plaque carries red “aramis” lettering and smaller white “BLACK” type, while the tall black cylindrical cap has ridges near its base. It is conventional rather than memorable.
