Our take
I like Ambre Oud for its bitter whiskey top and the dry, serious turn that oud and leather give it. On my skin it projects well and leaves an amber-leather trail that feels winter-ready, but the scent can tighten into the same groove after a few hours. Reports on longevity vary enough that I would not buy this blind; sample it on a cold evening if you want to know whether the animalic and powdery facets work for you.
