Galbanum and citrus open with a sharp, green facet that leads into a heart of dates, maple and heliotrope that lend syrupy sweetness and a powdery tonal center. The base mixes pepper, clove and ginger for a spicy, woody finish with vanilla-like warmth. The blend reads as sweet, warm spicy and green, and reactions are mixed: a mid-range community rating and split opinions on whether the green opening and sweet heart work together.
Our take
I appreciate the idea here: maple and heliotrope create a rich, sweet core while clove and ginger give it bite. In practice the galbanum opening can feel too sharp and even rubbery, which turns some people off. Projection is impressive for many wearers, but longevity feels inconsistent across users.
