The Bottle

Iceni concentrates the house style into a broad near-circular body, a densely packed knotwork panel and a squat stepped cap. The pattern leaves very little empty space, so the bottle feels proudly embellished rather than quietly decorative. A small rectangular lower section gives the rounded shape a clear endpoint, although it also makes the silhouette a touch busy. There’s no minimalist gesture here. Iceni is ceremonial, recognisable and confidently ornate, suited to anyone who wants the original bottle to remain visible rather than blend into the background.

Original or Clone

Iceni makes the stronger case when the bottle matters: its rounded form and interlaced centre have more character than a routine fragrance vessel. The fragrance also commands attention in a specific way, with two houses attempting to reproduce its warm-spicy, woody, amber character. That does not tell us what either interpretation is like, but it does mark Iceni as a release with a clear identity and a real following. We therefore lean original here.
