About Bond No 9 Park Avenue South

The fragrance these clones are inspired by.

Park Avenue South (Bond No 9, 2015) is a fruity-fresh women's fragrance built around a bright green apple top that gives way to a heart of peach and jasmine and settles on musk and amber. The apple and peach create a candied, green-fruit opening while jasmine adds a soft floral lift; musk and amber round the base into a warm, slightly powdery finish. Main accords recorded are fruity, fresh, musky, powdery, green and sweet. With a 3.6/5 average from 159 votes and a notable split in reactions, the scent is most commonly worn in spring, where 42% of voters say it fits best.

Our take

I appreciate the immediate green-apple and peach pop here, but the apple can feel thin and synthetic and the fragrance rarely lasts beyond a couple of hours. Community votes and comments line up with my experience: some people enjoy the playful, daytime fruitiness, yet many find the texture cheap and the performance weak. I find it easiest to recommend only for short, casual spring or summer days when you want a light fruity skin scent.

A Closer Look

The Bottle

Park Avenue South gives the Bond No. 9 shape a playful tailoring theme. Bold black spots scatter across the pale body, joined by one red spot and a ribbed red bow beneath the short pale cap. The small lower-right medallion is less important than the pattern, so the decoration does most of the talking. Cheeky and a little kitsch, it comes close to novelty territory without losing the familiar narrow waist and flared base. This won't suit a restrained room, but its strong graphic contrast makes the bottle easy to remember.

Original or Clone

The original earns the stronger case here because its distinctive bottle is part of what makes Park Avenue South recognizable. That argument gains weight from its standing: two houses have tried to reproduce this fruity, fresh, musky fragrance. We have no evidence to rank those interpretations by resemblance or wear, so the conclusion rests on identity and reference status rather than performance. Choosing one remains a reasonable reading of the fragrance, but the Bond No 9 release has the clearer claim to being the source.
