Find Boucheron Jaipur

Boucheron Jaipur is the benchmark for this scent profile. Alternatives may be worth comparing, but they are independent products and we do not present them as equivalent to Boucheron's own fragrance.

They do not replace the original fragrance, its presentation, or the version created under the brand's own quality control. If that is what you are looking for, search the official site or trusted retailers below.

About Boucheron Jaipur

The fragrance these clones are inspired by.

Boucheron's Jaipur (1994) is a women's fragrance created by Jean-Pierre Mary and Sophia Grojsman. Positioned among the house's 1990s releases, it reads as a fruity, powdery floral that opens on stone and tropical fruits, peach, apricot, plum and pineapple, lifted by freesia. A dense floral heart of rose, peony, carnation, jasmine, orris, orchid, black locust and lily-of-the-valley gives way to a warm, sweet base of sandalwood, Virginia cedar, vanilla, benzoin, amber, musk and styrax. Main accords are strongly fruity with dominant powdery and floral facets and a vanilla-amber woody finish. With a 4.0/5 average from 942 votes, it is generally liked but has a noticeable group of detractors and an active fan demand for a reissue.

Our take

I like Jaipur for its full-on 90s fruit-to-powder arc: juicy top notes that settle into a soft, rose-forward powder and a warm vanilla-amber base. It can smell synthetic if the bottle is old or poorly stored, so I only buy from trusted sellers, but when it's right it makes a bold, evening-friendly statement in cool weather.

A Closer Look

The Bottle

Boucheron Jaipur’s bottle is a broad, flattened disc with raised faceted shoulders and pale-yellow contents visible through its body. A rounded blue dome sits above gold-toned bands and an angular upper housing. The blue, gold and pale-yellow contrast is conspicuous and ornate, giving this unusual shape a flamboyant, highly distinctive presence.

Original or Clone

We favour buying Jaipur itself. Its unusually ornate bottle gives the purchase a distinctive object to live with, while the credited authorship of Jean-Pierre Mary and Sophia Grojsman gives this release a clear point of origin. The one tracked interpretation does not erase those distinctions; a reader choosing it is making a reasonable choice, but we find the original more compelling.
